Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a solution focussed approach, which is aimed at transforming life limiting beliefs, behaviours and patterns of thinking. It draws influence from recent discoveries in Neuroscience as well as a range of traditional and modern therapeutic approaches including Evolutionary Psychology, NLP, CBT and Positive Psychology, along with modern and traditional Hypnotherapy. We also include techniques inspired from modern practices such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). Although Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a form of talking therapy, our main focus is on getting you to where you want to be as quickly as possible, rather than spending weeks, months or even years drudging up the past as some forms of therapy can tend to do. We believe that it is possible to "undo" a problem just as quickly as it is to form one, and we use interactive techniques which speak the language of your subconscious in a way which does this quickly and effectively and which is tailored specifically to you. I also incorporate Mindfulness techniques, of which I am also a trained teacher, although don't worry as you won't find a joss stick or swinging watch in sight!
